Discussions are underway with the Office of the Australian Safety and Compensation Council (previously the National Occupational Health and Safety Commission) for the provision of a number of additional coded fields relating to work-related fatalities. These would encompass:

• ASCO codes for industry and occupation during incident

Additional data fields arising from other projects involving the national police form and drugs module may also be added to the NCIS data set in future.
